Roberta Blankson is a seasoned international development professional with a wealth of experience in designing and leading development initiatives across Africa. She has a rich experience in consulting for international organizations in Africa. She is a Knowledge and Content Manager (Consultant) for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab (E-LAB) at the African Development Bank (ADB). Previously, she was a Knowledge Management, Communication, Capacity Development, and Events Consultant with the Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) Division at the Bank.
Before joining the AfDB, Roberta was a Senior Program Officer for East and West Africa at the International Centre for Evaluation and Development (ICED), where she led the conceptualization and launch of the “Parliamentary Knowledge Exchange Forum.” She was instrumental in program leadership, strategy development, partnership buitding, donor engagement, and resource mobilization at ICED.
Roberta has also held roles with the Office of the President of Ghana’s Monitoring and Evaluation Secretariat, the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation (MoME), the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), and worked as a Corporate Banker with First Atlantic Bank, Ghana. She served on the Ministerial Advisory Board of the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation from 2019 to 2021.
Roberta’s expertise spans program management, knowledge management, communication and storytelling for impact, capacity development, partnerships and donor engagement, stakeholder engagement, resource mobilization, strategic advisory, policy design, monitoring and evaluation, and managing global networks and communities of practice. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Finance from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Banking and Finance) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
