Next Phase of YECoP Cohort 1 takes off
The next phase of the World Class DIH M&E Mentoring Flagship Programme, the Young Evaluators Community of Practice (YECoP), has taken off.
This phase is hands-on and practical building on the previous, which equipped the mentees with the basic principles of M&E, the M&E framework, and building a results-based M&E system, amongst others.
The mentors are ready to hands hold and walk the mentees all the way on the journey into the World of Evaluations through modules that include; Evaluation Types, Initiating and Managing Evaluation, Bidding an Evaluation RFP, Conducting the Evaluation, Data Analysis and Reporting.
As part of the programme, all 30 mentees will be engaged in undertaking case studies, taking on evaluation assignments with selected organisations and field work under the supervision of the mentors.
It is envisaged that, at the end of the programme, a cadre of M&E Champions would have been developed, who would be deployed to work with and support central and local government agencies to conduct and disseminate development evaluations.
Development Insights Hub (DIH) is committed to promoting and use of Monitoring and Evaluation evidence for decision-making in Ghana and across Africa. DIH is rolling out this initiative to enable young and emerging evaluators to hone their knowledge and skills and to leverage existing M&E opportunities.
