YECoP Cohort 2 Launched

Cohort 2 of the DIH M&E Mentoring Programme, the Young Evaluators Community of Practice (YECoP), which has mentees signing up from African countries such as South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Liberia, Nigeria and Ghana has been launched by the Team Lead of DIH, Mr. Kwabena Agyei Boakye.

The composition of Cohort 2 lends credence to Development Insights Hub’s (DIH) objective  as the “Go to organization for youth development in M&E in Africa including Lusophone and Francophone countries”.

The mentees will be taken through a vigorous mentoring schedule which includes, M&E System Design, M&E System/Framework, Project Planning Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Analysis, Evaluation and International Development, Use of AI in M&E, M&E Governance in International Development amongst others.

They will experience first class mentorship and tutelage of accomplished and top-notch global M&E Experts as wells as International Development Practitioners who are ready to hands hold the mentees through the journey into the World of M&E.

Dr. Nana Akua Abruquah, and Mr. Seth Kugblenu, Board members of DIH, Dr. Thomas Wobill and Mr. Edem Tornyie, Management Team members were present at the launch and took turns to motivate the mentees.

It is envisaged that, at the end of the programme, a cadre of M&E Champions would have been developed, who would be deployed to work with and support central and local government agencies to conduct and disseminate development evaluations.
