Dr. Rose Buabeng

As a passionate and committed gender and climate justice activist and leader, I believe in building leadership within marginalised populations and communities to advance gender equality and climate justice.

I am a highly experienced global development and philanthropic professional with 15+ years of experience in gender and climate justice programming, resourcing and activism. I have successfully fundraised, managed, and implemented dozens of social justice programmes at various levels, working with 20+ multilateral, bilateral donors, foundations, and social impact organisations.

I have worked extensively in Africa and the Middle East where I have funded and provided technical support for 400+ women’s rights and feminist organisations. These organisations work with their communities to promote economic and environmental justice, secure health and bodily rights, promote leadership and citizenship, protect common lands, and conserve biodiversity and natural resources.
